My iPad2 is here!

My reaction to the iPad2? What a smart piece of glass! I am excited. I own a 17-inch Mac Book Pro (laptop) so this will be an interesting experiment not just with size but many other facets as well. But it is not as inspiring as this video. Oh, well … in the meantime I’m enjoying myself and practicing for the day you see here.

A prayer to save the brand?

Everyone has a brand – schools, churches, civic organizations and sure, retail businesses. A brand is a promise. You don’t just buy the brand and product, you buy the brand’s promise – what the brand stands for. If I were the CEO of a company, my prayer would be this: Please help my people who deal with customers save our brand when the product on which it appears falters or fails.

Of course, this presumes that, as CEO, I have provided my front line people with a wide range of latitude for solutions that could even extend into the realm of the seemingly unreasonable.
